From their intimate first look in the Butterfly Conservatory to their ceremony over the water on the Discovery Center bridge, every location felt like it was pulled from the pages of a love story.

Along with their family and friends, Lydia and Grayson celebrated their love surrounded by the lush beauty of Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia. From our very first conversation with Lydia and Grayson, it was clear they envisioned a wedding that felt like it stepped straight out of a romantic period drama.

In the spring, Callaway Gardens comes alive, bursting with color and beauty. Callaway Gardens is a venue that blends Southern charm with botanical grandeur, creating the ideal wedding backdrop for couples who want nature’s beauty woven into every part of their day.

A Magical First Look

The day began in Callaway’s Butterfly Conservatory, where Lydia and Grayson shared their first look. Among tropical greenery and fluttering wings, they had a quiet, joy-filled moment before the celebrations began. At one point, a delicate black-and-white butterfly landed on Lydia’s shoulder, a scene so whimsical it felt like it belonged in a fairy tale.

A Ceremony on the Bridge

Guests gathered on the wooden bridge over the Discovery Center’s iconic lake, surrounding them with water views while shading them under a canopy of Georgia pines. Runway-style seating provided perfect guest views while statement aisle arrangements released bold, fragrant blooms. At the bottom of the aisle stood a large floral arch, brimming with lavender, lilac, and blush florals, that would provide the perfect backdrop for the beautiful couple. As Lydia walked toward down the aisle, a breeze caught her veil and the flowers swayed, creating a cinematic moment neither will ever forget.

A Celebration of Love

Following the ceremony, guests were treated to cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres around the lake while Lydia & Grayson shared a few moments together under the canopy, laughing and joking over bottles of Smirnoff Ice. The celebration then continued inside the Discovery Center, where the space echoed the ceremony’s floral abundance. Guest tables featured overflowing floral compotes, lavender taper candles, and plum glassware adding to the romantic-period-inspired look

Unforgettable Personal Touches

While the day was steeped in romance, it also reflected Lydia and Grayson’s fun, playful personalities. With May the 4th being Star Wars Day, Lydia’s father wasn’t about to let that pass without a nod to the galaxy far, far away. Just as everyone prepared for a tear-jerking father-daughter dance, Lydia’s father surprised guests (as well as the couple) as the Imperial March began to play, and he marched from a back hallway wielding a true-to-life lightsaber. He and Grayson then staged a hilarious lighthearted duel - a moment that had the entire room laughing and cheering. It was playful, unforgettable, and a perfect reflection of Lydia and Grayson’s fun-loving personalities.
